Romcalc is an amendment for soil made of amorphous chalk, the best source of CaCO3. Calcium is the indispensable mineral for growth and development of plant tissues, responsible for the intracellular circulation of water. Equally, calcium strengthens the plant and makes it more resistant to drought, to intense sunlight and gives it that beautiful pigmentary coloring to ripen.
In order to produce such an effect on plants, the Romcalc amendment is applied to the soil and restores the balance, following its acidification, alkalinizing it. Thus, the amendment compensates for the calcium washed away by the rain and gives it the nutrient that fortifies the plants during periods of drought. Application of the treatment causes reactions in the soil structure, so that it will no longer retain excessive water falling from the acid rains or will no longer allow it to dry out due to drought.
